Vulkan 1.3, including support for the Vulkan Ray Tracing extensions, is available for Windows and Linux in our general release drivers here: Windows Vulkan 1.3 General Release Driver Downloads So I'm still waiting for now until vr tech has had more time to improve and is more widely supported so I don't miss out on games like Dirt4.This page provides links to both Vulkan 1.3 general release drivers, and developer beta drivers.
It's completely immersive especially with trackir and works with about every title there is. I get 1920x1080 60htz per eye resolution in perfectly rendered 3d and at 5foot from my eyes a 67" screen fills my entire vision when focused on driving. I'm looking forward to getting a vr hmd someday but really don't feel I'm missing anything atm.
Also all 3d capable dlp monitors that were fantastic for large 3d rendering were discontinued in 2008 and thats about when the gpu's were getting fast enough for good 3dvision. It took several years after it was released before the proper hardware caught up and there were large monitors like I use that were available and by then the buzz was over and it's effectiveness tarnished. But imo 3dVision doesn't get the credit its worth because many never tried it or if they did they weren't using the necessary hardware in order to have a great initial experience. So I understand why VR guys feel that way.
Click to expand.I wouldn't go back to just a flat screen without 3d either.
